Staying at the Disneyland Hotel!

Here we go everyone, the first of many Disneyland blog posts! I’m so excited to share my experience with you all. Kolani and I had such an incredible trip, it was honestly so perfect and dreamy and I can’t stop reliving it. So to kick things off, I’m going to share with you our experience staying at the Disneyland hotel.

We had a late flight, which led us to arrive at the hotel via an Uber at 2 am. Even though we were exhausted, I couldn’t get over the fact that we were actually there.

Kolani and I had been talking about going to Disneyland almost since we first started dating. What I love most about Disneyland is how themed everything is; it’s really another world down there and sweeps you away from reality.

Walking into the hotel, you’ll find spacious seating and very helpful front desk associates. There’s also different themed towers like the different lands in the park (ex. the Adventureland Tower). Kolani & I stayed in the Frontierland Tower, which was the southern most wing, located just behind the pool.

There were two things I absolutely loved about our hotel room: the windows and the bed/headboard. (I apologize in advance for the emojis and the text on the picture above, I forgot to save the picture before those edits). Okay, but get this, as some of you may have seen on my Instagram story, there were two switches on the lamp that was on the right nightstand. One obviously turned on the lamp, while the other would light the headboard (as seen above) and play a sweet music box rendition of a Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes. When I discovered this, I burst into giggles. I mean seriously, how cool is that?! I think we had way too much fun switching it on and off, we even danced to it at one point.

The second thing I loved about our stay is the fact that we were booked into a corner room. If you’re staying in a city, I feel like it’s a must to reserve a corner room in order to get a spectacular view. During the day, the sunshine would flood in and at night, you could see all the lights and palm trees of Anaheim.

Kolani and I loved lounging in our Disneyland hotel bathrobes too. We were such kids feeling like grown ups, the bathrobes gave us an extra dose of vacation vibes.

Within the vicinity of the four towers of the hotel were incredible restaurants, and of course we tried a few, but the food reviews are going to be in other posts.

If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland, I would definitely recommend this hotel. One, because it’s a great place, and two, because of all the perks! If you stay at any of the Disneyland hotels, you are then automatically apart of Magic Morning.

What is Magic Morning Chloe?

Well, I’m so glad you asked, reader.

Magic Morning is this incredible luxury that only Disneyland hotel guests receive. Exclusively for those few only, hotel guests are able to access the park ONE HOUR EARLY before it opens to the public! However both parks alternate magic mornings on either days, meaning that both parks are not open for Magic Morning on the same day. On the Friday that we were there, California Adventure had the Magic Morning, and on Saturday, Disneyland had it.

This really helped us and saved our butts during our trip because we literally walked on to almost every ride. Given, Fast Passes and Max Passes were also a HUGE help with that too, but we’ll get into that later.

I’m going to be going into more detail about Magic Morning, Fast Passes, Max Passes and much much more! So make sure you’re signed up on the email list to receive notifications on future blogs posts!

This has been a chloscall.

Until next time,

Chloe.

Why You Need to Visit Green Lake

Welcome back to my blog!

In today’s post, I wanted to write about a little gem located right here in the pacific northwest. If you’re planning a trip to Washington, this is one underrated place you might have not considered visiting.

When I plan trips, I usually have a little mental list of all the things I’d like to see or all things I’d like to do while I’m there. I don’t believe in planning out your entire day each day you are there-I think it sucks the fun out of exploring and enjoying the trip.

I understand that if you’re visiting Seattle, you’ll want to see the Space Needle or Pike’s Place. But, if you have a day to roam around and a couple hours to kill, I would suggest Green Lake.

Green Lake is such a beautiful sight to see with fun surrounding must-see sights like the Woodland Park Zoo or the Fremont Troll. If you’re visiting in the winter time, you’ll definitely need to bundle up, because this five mile walk is going to get cold fast. Don’t be intimidated by the five miles, it’s incredibly enjoyable.

You’ll see everyone there- couples, old friends, kids, dogs, and plenty of foreign tongues buzzing past you that you’ll think you’ve succumb to circling a melting pot. There are people long boarding, cycling, and rollerblading too. I love all the diversity and variety of people you see here.

If you have the luxury, the best time to visit would be the summer time. It’ll be packed, but it’s easy to see why. The lake is filled with people kayaking and paddle boarding. The nearby grass area is crowded with people lounging in hammocks, playing volleyball, barbecuing, and basking in the Seattle summer sun.

Surrounding the lake, there are the most charming neighborhoods that are destined to give you a slight urge to pack your bags and move there. There are coffee shops, ice cream shops, and few restaurants all giving a pleasant, “life is good” experience.

The only slight downside of the park is that the parking lot provided is almost laughable, only 3-4 rows for visitors. But no need to panic just yet, there is plenty of street parking nearby. You might have to walk a little, but hey if it means napping in hammock for a few hours who cares?

The photos I’ve featured above are from the walk Kolani, Ava & I took the other day. It was Ava’s first time there, and I was so excited for her. She met so many pups and had a ball. Also, I snapped a couple of quick shots from the views of the docks I walked out on.

It was gorgeous and still, the lake was filled with ducks and geese alike and I guarantee if it had been just a little warmer out, Ava would have jumped right in.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Don’t forget to follow my blog to receive updates on future blog posts!
