My Spring Bucket List for 2018!

Hello, lovely readers!

It’s already April, which means Spring has arrived! Or for some of us, we’re still waiting for the official Spring weather through rain and snow.

Nonetheless, I believe that a Spring bucket list is necessary to help plan a great Spring time. I think we enjoy Spring so much because it’s like a premature Summer.

Even though it’s like Summer, it’s still not fully there yet which can be hard to try to find things to do.

So! I’ve put together a little list to help make your Spring more fun, eventful, and memorable! Let’s get right into it: Continue reading “My Spring Bucket List for 2018!”

La La Land Live!

`February 14th, 2018 was Kolani and I’s second Valentine’s Day together. This year, he surprised me with tickets to the Seattle Symphony to see La La Land live at Benaroya Hall! I was so beyond excited, La La Land is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I couldn’t wait to go to the symphony.

Processed With Darkroom

Neither of us had been to Benaroya Hall before, and I was blown away as soon as we walked inside. They have a restaurant, a coffee shop, and a gift shop before you enter the actual music hall. The symphony is so visually stunning, I couldn’t stop staring at the architecture.

On the way into the hall, we walked past an open garage door and overheard some musicians rehearsing. We peered around the corner and learned that they were warming up for the La La Land concert! We got a quick little picture with them, and it’s honestly one of my favorite photos of us now.

We had AMAZING seats, I couldn’t have been happier with how everything panned out. The staff was friendly and there was a restroom and a bar on our tier level too! Another awesome bonus is that you could pre-order drinks for intermission-order them before the show, and they’ll be ready for you to enjoy at intermission, you won’t need to spend those 20 short minutes waiting in line for refreshments!

We had such a wonderful time, it was such a treat to watch the movie in such an incredible place, and hearing the music live was beautiful beyond words. The music in La La Land is indescribable and perhaps underrated.

I can’t wait to go back and see another show soon, we had such a lovely, magical Valentine’s Day.

Make Extra Cash with Poshmark!

Today, I want to talk about how amazing Poshmark is for making some extra cash. Also, before we really get into the post, I just want to reassure you that this post is not sponsored in any way by Poshmark, this is just something I believe could help a lot of people.

What is Poshmark?

Poshmark is an amazing app that allows people to sell old clothes. But don’t roll your eyes at me yet, this isn’t like any other garage sale. There are some AMAZING items listed on Poshmark for incredible prices. From brands like Chanel, Chloe, and Banana Republic; to American Eagle, Nike and even some name brand MAKEUP!

Almost all of these items are in fantastic condition-they could be lightly worn, NWT (new with tags), etc! All the clothes I’ve been selling are items that are either too small for me or hardly worn.

Originally, I was going to donate these clothes just to get rid of them, but I decided to give Poshmark a chance, and I’m sure glad I did. I sold about 3-4 items the first week alone! I was so excited, I had some extra cash flowing in from giving some great clothes to new homes! It’s all such an easy process and the Poshmark community is so kind!

How do I sell?

Go ahead and start digging around your closet to find items you could part with. It is very important to be honest and communicative with potential shoppers. Try to sell only items that are in the best condition; if you were buying something I doubt you would want a top with holes or stains. You can upload up to 8 photos of each item. It’s important to capture all angles in good lighting. Make sure to be detailed about the pieces, and DEFINITELY model them if you can, people love to see how the clothing looks when it’s worn!

Dressing rooms.

Shoppers can like items, or add them to a bundle. Say a shopper likes a few things from your closet; they can add them to a bundle and you (or the shopper) can offer a fair deal. Say they want 20% off for buying three items or you want to give them free shipping. Either way it’s a win win-your closet is clearing out while your bank account is filling up.

I sold an item, now what?

Once you’ve sold an item, it’s very important to ship it out asap. I usually ship mine 1-2 days after the item is sold. Your buyer is obviously excited and would prefer to have their item sooner rather than later; you don’t want them trying to message you wondering where their order is. Obtaining the best service is key, you’re not going to want bad reviews or unaccepted items!

The buyer almost always pays for shipping, unless the seller has made a deal to pay instead. Once you’ve sold an item, you will get an email and a notification from Poshmark congratulating you on the sale, as well as a prepaid printable shipping label. The great thing about this is (honestly one of my favorite parts) is you can just DROP OFF your package at the post office, no need to wait in those pesky lines!

There’s more tips and tricks to learn, but you can read all about it on the app once you’ve signed up! With that being said, if you sign up with my code “IAMFASHIONCOCO”, you’ll get 5$ off your first order! Click┬áhere┬á┬áto shop discounted brands and make some extra cash!

Why You Need to Visit Green Lake

Welcome back to my blog!

In today’s post, I wanted to write about a little gem located right here in the pacific northwest. If you’re planning a trip to Washington, this is one underrated place you might have not considered visiting.

When I plan trips, I usually have a little mental list of all the things I’d like to see or all things I’d like to do while I’m there. I don’t believe in planning out your entire day each day you are there-I think it sucks the fun out of exploring and enjoying the trip.

I understand that if you’re visiting Seattle, you’ll want to see the Space Needle or Pike’s Place. But, if you have a day to roam around and a couple hours to kill, I would suggest Green Lake.

Green Lake is such a beautiful sight to see with fun surrounding must-see sights like the Woodland Park Zoo or the Fremont Troll. If you’re visiting in the winter time, you’ll definitely need to bundle up, because this five mile walk is going to get cold fast. Don’t be intimidated by the five miles, it’s incredibly enjoyable.

You’ll see everyone there- couples, old friends, kids, dogs, and plenty of foreign tongues buzzing past you that you’ll think you’ve succumb to circling a melting pot. There are people long boarding, cycling, and rollerblading too. I love all the diversity and variety of people you see here.

If you have the luxury, the best time to visit would be the summer time. It’ll be packed, but it’s easy to see why. The lake is filled with people kayaking and paddle boarding. The nearby grass area is crowded with people lounging in hammocks, playing volleyball, barbecuing, and basking in the Seattle summer sun.

Surrounding the lake, there are the most charming neighborhoods that are destined to give you a slight urge to pack your bags and move there. There are coffee shops, ice cream shops, and few restaurants all giving a pleasant, “life is good” experience.

The only slight downside of the park is that the parking lot provided is almost laughable, only 3-4 rows for visitors. But no need to panic just yet, there is plenty of street parking nearby. You might have to walk a little, but hey if it means napping in hammock for a few hours who cares?

The photos I’ve featured above are from the walk Kolani, Ava & I took the other day. It was Ava’s first time there, and I was so excited for her. She met so many pups and had a ball. Also, I snapped a couple of quick shots from the views of the docks I walked out on.

It was gorgeous and still, the lake was filled with ducks and geese alike and I guarantee if it had been just a little warmer out, Ava would have jumped right in.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Don’t forget to follow my blog to receive updates on future blog posts!
