2018 Blog Goals

developmenT (2)

Hello everyone!

First off, I just wanted to wish you all a belated happy new year! It’s always so nice to recharge after the holidays and have fresh start to a new year.

With that being said, I’m sure a lot of you have set goals for  yourself this year, as have I. There are plenty of things I wish to accomplish this year, and improving my blog is one of them. Each year, I look over my content to see how it can be better. I compare, I research, but most importantly I watch what you guys respond best to.

So in addition to the upcoming improvement, I also would like to thank each and every one of  you who have supported me. With your likes, comments, and follows, I have become a better blogger, a better writer, and more attentive to what will be great, enjoyable content.

So obviously, the overall theme here is that there will be some exciting changes coming up. No need to worry though,  think of these upcoming changes as more of a remodeling, if you will.

I’m so excited for this new year and can’t wait to see how you guys respond to the future iamfashioncoco.

None of this would be possible without you.

Thank you all again, love you so so much.

Until next time,

Parsons Teen Vogue Program Review

Hello everyone!

I’m so excited to share this video. As a lot of you know based on my recent posts, I’ve been attending an online Fashion Merchandising program through new school Parsons Teen Vogue. I’m happy to say that after a year of signing up, I have successfully graduated the program!

I now will have a certificate in Fashion Merchandising and I’m so proud. Honestly it feels like such an incredible accomplishment.

2017 proved to be the year of the woman and those feminist vibes are only growing stronger.

Oscar Wilde once said, “You can never be overdressed or over-educated,” a statement I still believe deeply in. So hears to learning, being a total boss babe and looking fabulous doing it.

In the mean time, here’s a little video reviewing my entire wonderful experience with Parsons Teen Vogue. I hope you enjoy it, and I also hope you will look into the school if you’re serious about a career in the fashion industry. Click the link to watch the video, and the link to apply for Parsons is in the description box.

It’s that time of  the year again!

Well, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and not too crazy of a Black Friday. I can’t believe it’s the beginning of the Christmas season now, officially. I mean, for the most part, I feel like people aren’t going to be as critical of the Christmas spirit now that Thanksgiving has passed.

With all that being said, I’m here to tell you about Small Business Saturday. Small Business Saturday is a special day for small, local, handmade sellers. It is a day completely focusing on the handmakers of the world.

This is the first year that I am really trying to participate and make my store known. I really have this strong passion in making candles. Maybe that sounds a little silly, but honestly candles are essential. Anytime you find yourself in complete and utter relaxation bliss, there has to be a candle somewhere.

I think candles add something special to the room, the fragrance is heavenly, and they’re just so therapeutic. Most importantly, my candles are made with 100% soy wax so they’re totally pet friendly.

I don’t know if this is something that is widely known, but normal wax actually burns off toxins that are obviously hazardous to pets. Soy wax is popular for a lot of reasons, but this I feel, is the most important one. Always be considerate of  the air you breathe as well as the air your pet breathes.

My sale starts tomorrow, November 25th, 2017. It’s one day only, and the deal is almost too good to be true. We’re talking 2 candles for the price of  ONE. That’s right, you’ll be getting 2 soy candles for only 15$. But hurry, candles are limited!

You can pick your scent here.

Target Christmas Decor Haul!

developmenT (1)

What’s up guys, I’m back with another video!

Kolani and I decided to get a head start this year with the Christmas Decorations. It’s our first Christmas together and we had like no decorations whatsoever, so we decided to beat the rush and get our holiday things early. It’s actually pretty nice to have taken care of everything early so now we can just relax before we start holiday shopping.

All of the items in this video were purchased at Target, I hope you enjoy the video, it was fun to film!

There is a new video on my channel!

This one was fun to film, as I talked about all of the fall books that are on my reading list this year. I think I have a relatively good mixture of books; I’ve already read a few, but I can’t wait to read the next ones on my list! The books on my list this year are:

Turtles All the Way Down by John Green

The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur

Buried Light by Beau Taplin

The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom

Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee

Leave a comment below if you enjoyed my video and if you liked my picks this year! Please feel free to leave a comment below if you also have any book recommendations.

Puppy Vlog!

developmenT (1)

You’ve waited, and now it’s here.

The Puppy Vlog with Ava is now officially up on youtube.

As any of you puppy owners might know, raising a puppy is a lot of work. It’s pretty similar to having a baby (so I imagine). If you want to see more Ava, don’t worry, she will definitely be featured in more of our upcoming videos. Don’t forget to subscribe so you won’t miss a minute!

Meet Ava!

Okay guys, I have something very exciting to announce.

This was incredibly hard to hide from my followers, but Kolani and I are getting a puppy!

By the end of the day, our little Auggie Ava will finally be at home with us. (she’s a mini aussie and corgi mix). We met her when she was just 5 days old, so it seems live we’ve been waiting forever to take her home. We got a surprise yesterday morning when the breeder said we could take her home a whole week early.

The day feels like it’s going to be so long, but so far it’s actually been going by pretty fast. As soon as the clock strikes 4, we’ll be picking up out little pup.

We are beyond ecstatic, as neither of us have had a puppy, and to have her here around the holidays is even more thrilling.

There’s definitely going to be some puppy spam and serious puppy vlogs!

Can’t wait for you all to meet her, we want her to have as many furfriends as possible.

love ya,

Vlogtober Week 2

Bonjour ma cherie!

Vlogtober week 2 was really fun to film because I decided to take a different approach to it. I’m still vlogging every day, but I decided to put it all in one video because it would be easier to edit it an upload it by the weekend. This means more quality content for all of you.

I feel like people don’t realize just how much work it is being a vlogger. Filming quality entertaining content and editing it to perfection is very taxing. Although I do enjoy it, it is too much work to do every night and then be up at 5 the next morning for work.

Tell me what you think!

love ya,

Fall Soy Candles Are HERE

Simple Modern Blurred Fall Festival Flyer

I’m so excited to share my candles with you guys! I’ve been editing my Etsy shop so much today, that I feel obligated to share details with you all.

I’ve been making candles for a little over a year now and I am obsessed.

I’ve always had a love for candles and to be able to turn that love into passion to not only hand pouring 100% pet approved soy candles but to be hand pouring customers happiness is a blessing. Especially with the holidays coming up, candle making and candle burning weather are upon us.

Sure, you could buy candles anywhere, but you’re not going to be getting that personal one on one experience with a corporate store like you would with an Etsy shop. Besides, who doesn’t like supporting small business?

And unless you’ve been living under a rock, Etsy has become a global phenomenon. It’s a creative way for small business owners to share there business with customers all over the world.

What I like most about Etsy is that it doesn’t feel like “shopping” or going into a store. To me, it’s much more like going to a craft fair or a flea market. There’s eclectic items, handmade items, unique items. It’s so fun to see how creative people can be.

For my Etsy shop, I make soy candles, currently sold in six exclusive fall scents right in time for this upcoming season.

Scents include: Apple Cider, Harvest Spice, Cinnamon, Coffee Cake, Gingerbread, and Pumpkin Pie.
