As many of you know by now, it’s been nearly a year so we’ve brought home our little pup Ava. We’re still so in love and excited to see her like we were the first day we met her. Continue reading “Ava’s First Birthday”
For the month of March, I’m going to be writing two different monthly blog posts.
First, I’m starting off with all of Ava’s favorite goodies, treats and toys she got this month.
Next time, I’ll be posting my favorite beauty products and miscellaneous home goods.
Ava’s had a great March; playing with new toys, learning how to swim and trying new treats! Let’s go ahead and jump right in. Continue reading “March Favorites: Pet Edition”
Hello everyone! Today is not a typical blog post but more of a PSA.
I recently just learned about the Asian Beetle and thought I should share it with you all because as a dog owner, these little guys can hurt your pup and potentially cause serious health risks if left untreated. Continue reading “Pet Emergency: Beware the Asian Beetle!”
For today’s post, I’m going to be recommending my favorite dog treats that I’ve used to train Ava!
I’ve mentioned Merrick in some of my previous YouTube videos about Ava. The brand was recommended by my sister (she has 3 corgis).
Obviously when we got Ava, it didn’t take us long to start training her. Potty training was top priority on our list, but once that was handled, we wanted to work on obedience and teach her how to perform tricks like rollover or high five.
I watched several YouTube videos about dog training and learned quite a lot. There were some techniques that worked, and some that didn’t. When you’re training your pup, you’ll want to have some “treats”or rewards handy.
At first, I was using tiny bits of cheese as I read it was one of the recommended “rewards” to give your pup while you’re training them. But I was worried that it would soon upset her stomach so I vouched for the Merrick Lil Plates, since I had already been feeding her Merrick puppy food.
These treats are great for training your pup because they are so small. When you’re training your dog, you want to make sure that you’re obviously not giving them huge treats; you want tiny little bite sized snacks that will reward them as you’re completing each step of the training.
I’m a huge Merrick fan as well, and Ava loves these treats! I got her the Turducken flavor, (because she was sniffing that flavor the hardest at Petco). Another bonus is that these treats are under 10$!

This has been a chloscall.
Until next time,
