I’m sure by now you’ve seen all the posts and comments raving about dalgona- or better known as whipped coffee. It has taken the internet by storm and eventually the craze has led me to test it out for myself.
For me, I definitely believe it was worth all they hype. Now, instead of being that blogger who tells their whole life story before getting into the recipe, we’re just going to get right into it.
All you’re going to need is white sugar, instant coffee, and boiling water. That’s it.
Be sure if you’re grocery shopping, to actually get instant coffee, I got the wrong kind accidentally before and this recipe will not work with anything other than instant coffee.
2 tbsp instant coffee
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp boiling water
A lot of people I’ve seen make it using a mixing bowl and an electric hand mixer. Since I don’t have an electric hand mixer, I used a small cup and my electric milk frother, it whipped it up together so great!
In no particular order, add 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 table spoons of instant coffee, and 2 tablespoons of boiling water to your bowl (or cup).
To boil water, I used my electric kettle (I got it from either Amazon or Target).
Next, whisk everything everything together. Again, I used my milk frother, but you can use an electric mixer or whisk by hand. The longer you mix, the fluffier it will be.
I used vanilla almond milk for my cup. After you fill up your cup with your milk choice, top the cup with your delicious frothy goodness and drink up!
I think it tastes even better if you stir everything together. It ends up tasting like a sweet iced latte. Have you made this drink? Let me know down below!
