Visiting Hobbiton

Hello there and welcome back! Today on the blog, I am sharing a tell all travel post about our visit to Hobbiton.

For those of you who are not part of the fandom, Hobbiton is the movie set in New Zealand where parts of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogies were filmed.

If you’re not a fan, then who cares, right? It’s just a movie set. Wrong. This place is a fantasy all it’s own. It’s no secret there has been a huge following of Peter Jackson and these magnificently whimsical films.

Entering Hobbiton is like entering another world. You truly feel you’re apart of The Shire, as you walk near Hobbit Holes, farms, and even the Green Dragon.

Now, when I came to Hobbiton, I had never actually seen any of the LOTR or Hobbit movies in their entirety-but Kolani definitely has, he’s a huge fan. Even though I wasn’t one of the fans who binge watched these films, I still had a great appreciation for this stunning location where filming took place.

*I will add that after coming back home, Kolani and I watched ALL of The Hobbit trilogies and The Lord of The Rings trilogies, so I have officially seen them now.*

These photos below don’t do the area justice, but it’s truly sight to behold.
